These are the terms you agree to at checkout. They are written to be read, not to be skipped, so they are short and they say what actually happens.

What you are buying

One payment covers the first year of registration for the domain you chose. It also covers the see.io build workspace, the AI builder and the hosting your site runs on for the first month, at no extra charge. The card you pay with is saved with Stripe and is used for two things only: the yearly domain renewal, and monthly hosting if you choose to turn it on. Both are yours to switch off in the dashboard.

The price shown next to a domain is see.io’s price. It includes our margin over the wholesale fee our registrar charges, so it is higher than the raw registry fee. The first-year price and the renewal price are both shown before you pay.

Hosting and AI usage after the first month

The first month of hosting and AI builder usage is included with the domain purchase. It starts when the domain is registered, not when you first open the workspace.

After the free month, hosting on see.io costs $9.99 per month, charged to the card you used at checkout. The first month is charged the moment you enable hosting, even if your free month is still running; the free days you have left are not lost, and the paid month starts after them. You start hosting yourself from the dashboard and you can cancel it there any time; hosting is never turned on for you, so it is never charged unless you chose it. When you cancel, the site stays up to the end of the month you paid for and then pauses.

If hosting lapses, your site is paused, not deleted. The domain is still yours for the full year you paid for, and so is everything that was built: each site is a git repository you can clone and host anywhere. The free DNS panel stays available whether or not the site is hosted here, so you can keep the domain pointing wherever you like. Turning hosting back on brings the site back as it was.

Registration and the registrant contact

Domains are registered through our registrar partner. The contact details you enter at checkout become the ICANN registrant record for the domain, so they must be accurate and yours. Inaccurate registrant data can get a domain suspended by the registry, and that is not something see.io can reverse for you.

WHOIS privacy is enabled free wherever the registry allows it, which keeps those details out of the public WHOIS database. It does not hide them from the registry, the registrar or a lawful request.

Registration usually completes in seconds. If the registry refuses it after you have paid, we refund the payment in full and tell you why.

Renewal

Your domain renews automatically each year at the renewal price that was shown next to it before you bought it, charged to your saved card. You can turn auto-renew off from the dashboard at any time once the domain is registered; the dashboard also shows the renewal price and date for every domain you hold.

If auto-renew is off and you do not renew, the domain lapses on the registry schedule and you may lose it. Keeping it live is one payment a year; letting it go is doing nothing.

Refunds

A completed domain registration cannot be refunded. Once the registry has issued the domain the fee is spent and the domain is yours, not ours to take back.

Anything we charged that did not result in a registration is refunded in full. If you believe you were charged incorrectly, write to support@see.io and we will look at it.

The AI builder

Every site is a git repository you own and can clone. The AI agent designs, writes and deploys the site, and each change it makes is a commit you can read, diff and roll back.

The builder comes with a monthly usage allowance for each organization. It resets at the start of every month and is generous enough for building and iterating on a site. Reaching it never takes your site offline and never triggers a charge: the chat pauses until the allowance resets, and you can keep pushing your own commits in the meantime.

You are responsible for what you ask the agent to build and for what your site publishes. We may suspend hosting for content that is illegal, that is used to defraud or attack other people, or that puts our infrastructure at risk.

Moving on

Your domain is registered to you and can be transferred away like any other domain. Your site is a git repository you can clone in full, with its history. Nothing here is designed to hold you in place.

Liability

see.io is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted hosting, and our liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to what you paid us for the domain in question.
